The Friends of the Foley Public Library hosted The Sweet Potato Queen™, Jill Conner Browne, for a very successful "Tables of Content" event on July 26.  Dubbed "High Tea with THE Sweet Potato Queen™", this annual event was a great deal more fun than anything in jolly old England. The #1 New York Times® bestselling author enthralled her subjects with hilarious tales of her life and career.  Hundreds of her adoring fans gathered in the Civic Center to make this one of the best fundraisers of the year.  "Tablescapes" had been created by volunteers and library staff depicting various books as guests were challenged to guess the titles of the books represented.  Former Library Director Donna Soto and Friends of the Library President Pat Libby led the festivities.  Event Chair Helen Lambard organized and led a dedicated committee to ensure a fabulous time was held by all.  Jill Conner Browne's many books can be checked out from the Foley Public Library.
